Audio Speed Changer
NewSpeed up or slow down an audio track's playback rate without changing its pitch.
Your files are processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to any server, and your documents never leave your device.
What is Audio Speed Changer?
An audio speed changer re-times a sound file to play faster or slower without the chipmunk or slow-motion pitch effect. Using FFmpeg's tempo filter in your browser, the audio's pace changes while every voice and instrument keeps its natural pitch. The change is baked into the downloaded file, so it plays at the new speed in any app or device.

Frequently asked questions
Does changing speed change the pitch?+
No. The tool uses a tempo filter that preserves pitch, so a voice at 1.5x sounds like the same person talking faster - not higher.
What speeds are available?+
Presets cover 0.25x, 0.5x, 0.75x, 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, and 4x - the practical range for both careful listening and rapid review.
Does the audio lose quality?+
The tempo change itself is very clean at moderate speeds. Extreme settings (0.25x, 4x) can introduce slight artifacts, which is inherent to time-stretching audio.
Is my audio uploaded?+
No. The processing runs in your browser through FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. The file never leaves your device.
What format is the output?+
WAV input stays WAV; everything else is saved as high-quality MP3 (192 kbps) so it plays everywhere.
